OUTLINE
As Victoria Lofts’ third important project in Brussels, GP Lofts represents another evolution in innovative and high quality residential development.
The nature of the site, a former warehousing building in the demure and calm area of Berchem-St. Agathe, as well as other important factors, have had a formative influence on how GP Lofts has been conceived.
The listed facade, the potential of the large open spaces behind it, its proximity to Brussels only greenfield site and a close cooperation between the Victoria Lofts’, the architects Bouillot-Accarain and the landscape architects, has lead to the creation of spaces offering light, airiness, an uncluttered appearance and minimal impact of cars on the project.
Communal gardens flow harmoniously around the buildings, integration the private gardens into the overall design, amplifying the sense of space and unity.
Car access will enable the occasional need for access to the proximity of a loft, but parking areas are conveniently near to the street access, away from the lofts ensuring that whilst there will be a minimal distance to walk from the parking areas, internal traffic will be almost zero. Of course each loft will have its own allocated parking space.
To underline the car-free and open feel of GP Lofts, each owner is presented with a wonderful signed and numbered limited edition Victoria Lofts’ bicycle as well as the use of a secure covered bike park immediately adjacent to the fully equipped private fitness - gymnasium that Victoria Lofts’ offers to the residents of GP Lofts. Consideration has also been given to the fact modern living means freedom from having to look at necessary but unsightly objects so each loft has attributed to it a discrete and secure storage area within easy reach from your loft as well as the gardens, so no need to live with a lawnmower or child’s pushchair in the hall!
Walkways are designed so as to hardly impinge on privacy, and yet offer an opportunity to savour the gardens. The design of the building is attentive to the multiple possibilities of large luminous windows, access to ample private gardens and expansive terraces.
The overall look and feel of the project will have a Japanese signature with water features in several points, the terraces finished in high-quality timber, large windows with minimalist frames wood finish reaching down to the flowing, calm garden areas. The synergy between each loft will extend throughout the project and will reflect the fact that GP Lofts is situated a walk away from a vast and undulating meadow.
