Moulins de l'Escaut
OUTLINE
The latest discovery of the van Asbeck - van Dijk partnership is the site of the former Socoma mills in Denain, near Valenciennes, France.
The Socoma site is ideally located, melding city conveniences with the countryside’s quality of life. In a green and quiet environment, the ‘Moulins de l’Escaut’ offer you ideal surroundings to cosily raise a family at the banks of the river Escaut, within a stone’s throw of Denain’s city centre.
The buildings of the former water mill are renovated into 48 quality housing units, in close collaboration with the architectural firm Accarain et Bouillot, who have a long track record of projects in close collaboration with Victoria Lofts.
This pleasant and original environment has not escaped Victoria Lofts’ observant eyes.
Combining the region’s heritage with modern spatial planning, the Moulins de l’Escaut site will not fail to surprise its visitors! The housing units’ perfect position ensures optimal natural lighting conditions in the well-dimensioned living spaces.
For your daily leisure, discover the undisturbed view over the pleasure boats making stopovers at the riverside.
Profit from the services offered to increase your well-being: bicycle stands, room for baby buggies and a special canoe or kayak storage.
Shielded from the city’s buzz, up and down the river’s tow path, you’ll enjoy the green scenery, an ideal environment for a bicycle trip, walks in the countryside or jogging. From T2 to T4, the maisonette to the individual house, every housing unit boasts a private garden or terrace in a secluded and secure environment, greatly contributing to the entire family’s well-being and peace of mind.
A site close to conveniences!
Schools, shops and transport are close by: on foot, it’s only a few minutes to Denain’s city centre!
